X Games Brazil - Street League & Skatepark Results

Nyjah Houston Backside NosebluntThis past weekend the X Games / Street League Brazil skateboarding contest went down in Foz with great weather and some serious skating.  DC Shoes team slayer Nyjah Houston took home 1st place with some heavy hammers.  Sean Malto landed himself 2nd with Torey Pudwill in 3rd. 

Volcom, Vans & Independent team rider (as well as Brazil native)Pedro Barros took home first in the skate park contest with the unreal speed and amplitude he's known for, including a padless McTwist indy grab. Check out the index of full results here.

X Games Brazil Mega Ramp Highlights

Bob Burnquist Frontside 720 LeinHistory was made on multiple occasions yesterday during the X Games Brazil Mega Ramp contest.  Bob Burnquist came in with the gold for a frontside 720 melon grab over the gap.  Brazilian native Bob now has 23 X Games medals, which ties Shaun White for the 2nd most X Games medals.  Elliot Sloan came in 2nd with a sick backside 720 and and Jake Brown in 3rd with no handed backside 720 ollie.  13 year old Tom Schaar put down a heavy 900 on the QP landing him in 4th place.  6 year old Mitche Brusco did the first varial 900 on the quarterpipe, but still only landed him a 8th place.

Young Kid Boardslides His First Handrail And Freaks Out

I DID A HANDRAIL! I DID A HANDRAIL!When perusing reddit this morning we caught this YouTube video of a young kid landing his first handrail ever. Can you remember the last time you were this excited?  The video is actually 5 years old and has over 200,000 views.  Not sure how we missed this one, but if you did also, it's worth the 31 seconds.  I wonder what kind of skills he's got today? The YouTube channel lacks any new videos, so I guess we may never know...
